Since 2012, MathConcept has been helping students understand and appreciate mathematics. Our team of elite mathematicians and educators has developed effective courseware and refined teaching approaches to enhance students’ learning experiences. Moving beyond traditional rote memorization, we connect mathematical concepts in a way that makes sense to students, fostering both understanding and confidence.

At MathConcept, we believe every child has the potential to excel in mathematics. Our programs are designed to stimulate interest, build confidence, and deepen mathematical knowledge, helping students achieve their academic goals and beyond.

MathConcept offers programs for a wide range of academic levels, from preschool to high school. Our courses are tailored to meet the needs of students at every stage of their learning journey.

Yes and no depends on the kids’ need. For primary students, MathConcept’s courseware is aligned with the Singapore Math curriculum. But for high school, we offer a wide range of programs that fit the student’s needs for public exams (e.g. the SAT, IGCSE, IBDP, and HKDSE), for the Canadian students, we offer tailored learning plans to meet the final exam needs.

Every MathConcept student begins with a pre-enrollment MathConcept Diagnostic Test to identify their strengths, weaknesses, and learning needs. This allows us to create a personalized learning plan for each student. Unlike traditional tutoring, we focus on individual progress rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, ensuring students learn at their own pace and maximize their potential.

Absolutely! MathConcept benefits all students, whether they need help catching up, staying ahead, or exploring advanced mathematical concepts. Our professional tutors evaluate each student’s abilities and create a customized plan to address their unique needs, helping them close learning gaps or tackle more challenging material.

In a typical class, students work on customized worksheets based on their personalized learning plan. Our interactive and supportive environment encourages students to ask questions, clarify doubts, and explore new concepts. Homework is assigned to reinforce learning and ensure mastery of each topic.

MathConcept tutors regularly communicate with parents through phone calls and updates in the MathConcept student handbook. We also conduct timely assessments to monitor your child’s progress and adjust their learning plan as needed.

Students are recommended to attend classes once or twice a week, with each session lasting one to two hours. Regular attendance ensures consistent progress and reinforcement of concepts.

MathConcept’s small-group format allows for frequent one-on-one interaction with the tutor (every 5–7 minutes, or about 10 times per hour). This approach ensures personalised attention while also fostering a collaborative learning environment. During “downtime,” tutors efficiently assist other students, making the most of every lesson.

All MathConcept tutors are professionally trained in our unique pedagogy and are skilled at explaining complex mathematical concepts in a relatable way. They are passionate about teaching and creating a fun, engaging learning environment that sparks students’ interest in math.

Getting started is easy! Visit any of our centers with your child or call us to book a free MathConcept diagnostic test. Our friendly staff will guide you through the enrollment process and answer any questions you may have.

High School Final and Public Exams

In senior secondary school, students perform at varying skill levels. Our program begins with a written assessment to identify strengths and weaknesses. Based on the results, we create a customized learning plan to focus on areas needing improvement while avoiding unnecessary repetition. We specialize in preparing students for major international exams, including:
  • SAT
  • IGCSE
  • IBDP
  • HKDSE
For Canadian students, we tailor the program to meet final exam requirements, ensuring they are fully prepared for success.

Junior High School

The first three years of secondary school are critical for building advanced math skills. Our program strengthens foundational knowledge while introducing topics like algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and probability – essential for subjects like physics, chemistry, and economics.

We tailor learning plans to each student’s needs, using a combination of mental, verbal, visual, tactile, and written methods. Our curriculum aligns with and surpasses international standards like IBMYP and British Year 7-9, ensuring students are well-prepared for future academic success.

Primary School

Math in primary school forms the foundation for all future studies. Our program ensures students master essential skills like computation, problem-solving, fractions, decimals, and percentages, while also exploring enrichment topics like shapes, measurements, and data handling.

We go beyond the Singapore math curriculum by fostering number sense – helping students understand how math works in a way that makes sense. Through personalized learning plans and a mix of teaching methods, we build confidence and self-esteem, preparing students for the challenges of secondary school.
